A native of Illinois and long-time resident of Chicago, Dr. Alexis Bergan-Guzman, is enjoying the process of founding an innovative practice. Alexis is a licensed massage therapist in the states of Illinois and Florida.

Alexis has long-standing history as a health care professional, including work in medical research. Additionally, Alexis has completed vocational training as a Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) which has provided her an deeper understanding of patient care practices that are not customarily encountered in a Primary Care setting.

Recently, Alexis celebrated her graduation from medical school by serving members of the Muscular Dystrophy community when she decided to run as a charity runner for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy's Run For Our Sons group in the 2010 Walt Disney World Marathon. Although she completed several other athletic events, including half-marathons and triathlons, this was her first marathon and she really enjoyed it. Alexis also has an avid love for other recreational sports, including Pilates and swimming.

Through her work and testimony of her life, Alexis hopes to empower others in the pursuit of their own wellness and to contribute to the establishment of a world where we are no longer victims to our own devices. Her dynamic approach to her career is a reflection of Alexis' realization that as whole persons, we are able to call upon multiple talents and resources within ourselves in order to create a comprehensive and rich life experience and to contribute to the betterment of mankind.
