The Real Humpty Dumpty.

The Real Humpty Dumpty. Photomontage, 2011.

"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king's horses and all the kings men could not put Humpty together again."

Or so the story goes, at least. But is that the ultimate truth or grain of wisdom to be discerned from this famous nursery rhyme, whose protagonist finds his conventional incarnation in the tales of Mother Goose as early as 1803?

"The Real Story of Humpty Dumpty" offers a twist in perspective of this tragic figure, stating, "He had all the fabric he needed to become a dynamic quilt, but instead he chose to be broken man."
